SDSL
SDSL offers an always on synchronous Internet connection, ideal for businesses who want the reliability and higher upload speed an SDSL line can offer, without the cost of a traditional leased line. SDSL comes with a low contention ratio of 10:1.
There are also no restrictions on how much time is spent online or how much data is sent or received. Offices can stay permanently connected without incurring bandwidth charges.
Why SDSL?
Many small to medium sized business use SDSL to host their own internet facing services, including email servers (Microsoft Exchange etc), file sharing and Virtual Private Networks (VPN) whilst avoiding the cost and inflexibility of leased lines. With higher upstream speeds than ADSL, SDSL is an ideal technology for upstream intensive applications such as Voice over IP (VOIP) and video conferencing.
Packages
The following SDSL speeds are possible, subject to availability:
- 512Kbps down & 512kbps up
- 1Mbps down & 1Mbps up
- 2Mbps down & 2Mbps up
We can offer both managed (with hardware) and unmanaged solutions, along with a variety of Service Level Agreement (SLA) options to suit.
SDSL requires it's own PSTN line, which is provided as part of the service solely for the SDSL connection. Minimum contract term is 12 months.
